Take the Ibadan Fish Farm Tour and Practical Catfish Training!‎

I have learnt that ‘head knowledge can never replace one-on-one training and practical sight’. I also think some writings online are ‘over-hyped’.

As a practicing fish farmer with years of experience, I own my own fish farm and I consult for other fish farms as well, I wish I had seen and known ‘something’s’ before I started.

I want to help people by showing them how to manage their own different resources to run a successful fish farm venture.

No two farms are the same.

You may have water flowing naturally on a land, or no such water source, but have space in your backyard with a borehole or wells, or live in such an environment that prevents huge water to be poured out, Fear not!

Let us discuss what you have and make your fish farm work.

Let me share what our training offers you.

1.  An Earthen pond fish farm.

If you want to do over 10,000 fishes and you have a large expanse of land, this might be the best experience for you.

I always advise for earthen ponds to be beside a constant water source, maybe a river or a dam or a swampy land.

You would visit a farm with earthen ponds and learn the advantages and disadvantages of using earthen ponds in your farm.

2. A Hatchery

You have to see how baby fishes called fingerlings and juveniles are made.

You’ll be taught on hatching. You would also be taught how to identify how to always buy the best fingerlings and juveniles for your farm.

Here you would be taught how to identify and buy the best fingerlings and juveniles for your farm when you are stocking your fish.

3. A Fish feed processing center.

Smoked fish means more profit for your business.

You can stop feeding your fish at a target time and smoke them to sell.

You learn first hand how to smoke and dry fish according to Nafdac and even export standard.

Me I personally encourage all my students to pay attention here because I strongly believe that every fish farmer has to add processing to his farm.

4. A Tarpaulin Pond and Concrete Pond fish farm.

What are the advantages of using a tarpaulin pond over a concrete pond and which kind of pond should you use?

Why are people no longer using concrete ponds but embracing tarpaulin fish ponds?

This and more are treated in this class.
